It is important to understand that storage fees and warehouse handling fees are not the same. Warehouse handling is the charge for the time that the company will unload the shipment in the storage and then will reload it to the truck in order to complete its delivery. Storage fee/S.I.T –Storage In Transit is the actual charge for the time that the shipment was in location (storage).

For long distance and long term stay (more than 3 months) in storage facility:

The customer will be charged by pound based on the recommendation of the American Moving and Storage Association for warehouse handling charge and S.I.T (Storage in Transit).

Warehouse handling is the time of unloading in the storage that will take place on  the first day in our storage facility and then, the reloading of merchandise for delivery to the customer.

S.I.T-Storage in Transit: For each day at the storage facility, you will be charged $1.10 per 1000 pounds per day. For example: if your total shipment is 3000 pounds, you will be charged $3.30 per day. Rent is due on the first of every month and will be charged on a pro-rated basis. Whether a couple of days or month, the customer will be charged solely on the time used in storage.

You will be charged 30 dollars per 1000 pounds. For example: If your total shipment is 3000 pounds, you will be charged 90 dollars for warehouse handling which will include the first and last day in storage. Customer should be aware that they will always pay for both of the charges (warehouse handling and S.I.T).
